    Hi Lumina,

    I would like to double check the circuit input/output parameter with you:

    Vin: 5-20V

    Vout: 5V

    What's the maximum Iout?

    Hi Zack,

    Yes, the Vin is 5 to 20V DC, the Vout is 5V, and the maximum Iout is 8A (5V/8A).

    And we have another application of the TPS55289, that is, we added the I2C communication, and the input is 24V, the output voltage have 5 level (5V/9V/12V/15V/20V), and the Iout is 3A to 5A. Is there any suggestion for this application?

    Hi Lumina,

    TPS55289 cannot output 5V 8A because it is out of the device current limit spec.

    I would suggest you select TPS55288.

    For the second application, TPS55289 could output 3A. But 20V/5A, 100W is quite challenge for TPS55289. The device thermal rise would be a concern if customer layout is not well designed.
