Hi Team,

Can TPS74801 support 1.82A at 80 degree, 1.2V to 0.85V application?

    Hi Fanbin,

    This is not a recommended operating point because it is outside of the rated load current range. As noted in section 7.3.3, running the device at above the rated load current degrades device reliability (failures due to electromigration are increased). With that said, the device will output 1.82A with slightly degraded EC specs (i.e. not all EC specs will hold - in particular load regulation, overall output voltage accuracy, and dropout voltage), but TI can no longer be held responsible for failures in this operating mode. 

    Have they considered TPS7A57? It is more on the expensive side, but it is a very good device that can easily support this application, and is currently in stock.
