TPS61021A: Shutdown current for VIN<1.6V

Part Number: TPS61021A

TPS61021A data sheet provides shutdown current spec with Vin = 1.8V to 3.6V.  How does the shutdown current change as VIN drops below 1.8V. Of specific interest is with Vin at 1.6V and 1.5V.

  • Hi Mark,

Sorry that we don't have the data of shutdown current for VIN < 1.8V. Generally it won't be very different from VIN=1.8V

    Best Regards,

    Nathan

  • Hi Nathan thanks for the comment.  Would we have some characterization data that can help get an idea of what the shutdown current might be at the customer's operating point.  We can take this to the internal forum if you prefer:

    • Since the test condition Vin is 1.8-3.6V; what is the shutdown current at 1.8V?
    • Looking at Figure 9 in the data sheet. Since we are below a 2.4V input, would it be safe to say that our max shutdown current is < 1uA at T = 67C?
    • With Vin = 1.5V, and Temp between room and 67C, is it reasonable to say the shutdown current would be around 0.5uA and 1 uA?
    • Per the I_shutdown test condition, what is the  input voltage/temp that results in the 3 uA max limit?
  • Hi Mark,

We have received your mail, so I think we can communicate by mail further. Thanks,

    Regards

    Nathan
