Hi Expert,

Our customer is looking for device replacing AUIR3242S. Actually I provide LM7472EVM to them for testing. They use our EVM to drive 6pcs NVMTS0D6N04C together. And they find the rising time is too long, about 20ms. Do we have device with larger capability? Thanks.

Hi Elec,

LM74720-Q1 has a PD gate drive strength of 50uA. This is intentionally kept low so as to have inrush current limiting during startup into capacitive loads.

In case customer wants to have fast start up and does not have capacitive load at the output, they can consider using LM74502H-Q1. This device has a gate drive strength of 11mA which is 220 times greater than LM74720-Q1.

As customer observed, the startup time for LM74720-Q1 to drive 6pcs NVMTS0D6N04C would be around 20ms.

It should take around 165us for LM74502H-Q1 to drive 6pcs NVMTS0D6N04C including GATE Turn On delay of 75us.
