BQ27Z561-R2: BQ27Z561-R2 EVM together with bqStudio for battery measurements

Part Number: BQ27Z561-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, BQSTUDIO

Hello,

I want to access some parameters (resistance values) of our battery from our bq27z561-R2 fuel gauge. From the webpage:
https://e2e.ti.com/blogs_/archives/b/fullycharged/posts/tying-it-together-how-to-use-impedance-track-gas-gauges
” The bqStudio’s Registers tab interfaces with the product’s corresponding EVM via the EV2300 or EV2400’s inter-integrated circuit (I2C)/ high-speed data queue(HDQ)/ smart management bus (SMBus) connector to extract these measurements from the gas gauge.”

However when I check the EV2400's page I find that bq27z561-r2 is not o the supported list of fuel gauges?

Can I use EV2400 for this purpose or should I use something else?
Can I solder something directly on the i2c line(s) to connect with bqStudio directly? Or do I need an EVM?
