BQ25890: Charge terminate current

Part Number: BQ25890

My setting of terminate current is by default.

But I found the charge is still ongoing when input current is 0~30mA, and the status LED is blinking.

But I don't see any fault by reading out REG0C.

Why ?

  • Hi liping,

Termination current is related to the charging current that is being sent to the battery through the BAT pins. Input current is not related to charge termination but is necessary for device operation along side the correct VBUS voltage level. See Section 9.2.7.2 of the datasheet for more information about the charging profile.
