TPS43061: About surrounded parts selection

Hi team,

My customer is trying to use TPS43061, and have one question about selecting the surrounded parts.

For the surrounded parts selection, average maximum output current (Iout) is used for the calculation.

What Iout value should the customer use in the below case?

<Case>

Average output current: 0.1A

Peak current: 2A~8A (36ms periodically)

Could you give us an advice to calculate the surrounded parts in this case?

There was a miss.

36ms →0.36ms periodically

Hi Ohashi,

If you would fully buffer this by capacitor C = I * T / V this would be a very large value for the Cap.

I suggest to design the power supply for being able to supply the max required current.
