TPS92682-Q1: Slope voltage selected

Part Number: TPS92682-Q1

Hi, team

Hope you are doing well!

I have a question about the Vslope of TPS92682-Q1.

There is a calculation formula for Vslope on the datasheet, which only limits the minimum value.

(1)What is the upper limit of Vslope?

I only found this restriction in the datasheet. Are there any other restrictions?

(2)If Vslope is selected larger but not exceeding the upper limit, what impact will it have on the circuit?

Thank you for your support and look forward to your reply!

  • Jeff,

    For question:

    1.  The highest limit you can set the Vslope is 350mV in the ISLOPE register (Reg 04h).  In general, for the loop to be stable you have to set Vslope greater than the equation that you have above.

    2.  If it's larger than the what the equation ask for then it will start lowering the loop BW slowly.  But as with anything the loop can be re-compensated but it will start defeating the benefit of peak current control.

    Thanks Tuan
