BQ4050: Battery Power is Zero

Part Number: BQ4050
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, GPCCEDV

Hi,

Good Day.

The customer uses BQ4050 for power monitoring and battery protection. The battery is four 3.7V lithium batteries in series.

BQStudio shows that the total voltage and the voltage of each battery are correct, but the displayed power is 0%.

Can you help to fix it? Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hello Ray Vincent,

I will need more information for what their testing is and what they expect from the tests. Have they completed the GPCCEDV tool to find the best fitting CEDV coefficients? Are they cycling the batteries with the gauge? Have they done any other configuration changes to the gauge in the data flash settings?

If they could share their .gg file along with a short log of their test this would be helpful.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
