Hello Willie,

See the EVM guide for schematics. All the peripherals will be needed and voltages will need to be applied. For simplification go with a single cell design.

For programming use the Flashstream file which is a series of I2C commands. You can generate it from bqStudio.

We do not have any documents of what you mentioned, so could you please share them with me?

I am hoping you understand that our company is trying to design a socket board for customer programming ICs on our own universal off-line programmer, so that we could get the right documents we need.

Also you can review SLUA801 for some example code on programming.

The I2C to USB interface we use is the EV2400, the designs files are available on its webpage if you would like to reference them.
