Hi Team,
Page 20 of the datasheet states,
"If the value of R6 is less than 100 kΩ, R8 must be added to protect the IC from 28V inputs. If R6 is greater than 100 kΩ, R8 does not need to be used."
Our customer's computed the values of R6 and R7 as 13kohm and 5.1kohm respectively. The maximum value of Vin in his application is 8V not 28V. He would like to confirm if he still need to add the R8.
