Hi Felix,
- For the inductor I would recommend using 1uH since 2.5MHz switching frequency is selected.
- The input and output capacitors look good.
- Ceramic capacitors can be used here. The specific rating of the capacitor will depend on your design requirements, ambient temp, tolerance.
- For the EVM, 10uF, X8R, 25V ceramic capacitors are used for the input.
- You can also check the EVM Users guide for a complete BOM of parts used.
- If there is any requirement on output voltage ripple, you may leave an additional "no mount" component for the input or output capacitors.
Thanks,
Joseph
Hi Joseph
Thanks for the reply
Since the Max Output current is only 0.271A.
Inductor ripple current(ΔI) for 2.5Mhz, 2.2µH & 0.25(Dutyratio) will be : 0.204A
Inductor ripple current(ΔI) for 2.5Mhz, 1µH & 0.25(Dutyratio) will be : 0.45 A
So to get continuous current consumption, will it be better to use 2.2µH rather than using 1µH?
Hi Felix,
Yes, given that you have Auto PWM/PFM mode selected, if you want to maintain continuous current it will be better to select the 2.2uH.
Thanks,
Joseph
