TLV713: maximum Short-circuit current

Part Number: TLV713

Hello,

My customer measured TLV713 short-circuit current on their board.
They tested two samples and the results were around 90mA at both samples.
Though TLV713 datasheet specifies short-circuit current is 40mA (typ) and does not specify maximum number, this 90mA test result is reasonable from TI characterization point of view?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi K.Hirano,

Yes, this data seems to be a reasonable amount, a bit high, and possibly the output was a bit above 0V, but not completely unimaginable.

I took a look in the lab and I found that the 90mA is within reason as the device I tested was at ~70mA, this was only one device at 25C, but across process variation and temperature condtions, 90mA is not completely unexpected.

    Regards,

    John
