Can the solution of TPS53656+CSD96415 support the 3.3V input voltage, 50A output current?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD96415, TPS53656

Hi team,

My customer want to use multiphase power supply to support the ASIC, the input voltage is about 3.3V and the output current is about 50A, I wondering whether the solution of TPS53656+CSD96415 fits this situation. If not, do we have a more suitable devices?

Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Jerry,

3.3Vin is lower than the recommended input voltage for the CSD96415 and really all of our powerstages. While it could potentially work, the end product would more than likely have high losses. To help get you pointed in the right direction, can you please answer the following questions?

Can you provide more detail on the system you are working on?

What is the output voltage of the powerstages?

Is 50A the peak output or continuous output current for your use?

How many phases are you planning on using?

    Best Regards,

    Nash
