Hi Expert

My customer want to use TPS25940 for Fan protection.

input voltage range is 13.2V~10.8V 12 TYP

output is 12V/1.6A

because the Fan is inductor load. so could you please help to check whether need special design for inductor load?

You can use ILIM feature for reduce inrush current.

Hi Meng,

You can follow general design for this device. I will recommend using schottky diode and TVS diode at output of eFuse. Schottky diode will protect eFuse from negative transient which can go above abs min and TVS diode will protect eFuse from positive transient which can go above abs max rating of OUT pin.
