Good Morning

I have a question regarding LM5170EVM-BIDIR, I puchased two modules, My input is 24 volts so datasheet tells me that i can connect 12 V input to 24 V input right? and another thing I want to take the values of Inductor current or input current so how can I take the signal as I did not see the pins for inductor current or input current.

    Yes, you can apply 24V to the 12VDC-Port.

    You can measure the input current by inserting a DMM in series to the VIN port. For measuring the inductor current, you could measure the voltage across R21 or R32, but these are sensitive nodes, so you might change the behavior with the measurement.

    If you want to measure with an oscilloscope, you need to open the current loop through the inductor by injecting a wire into one of the inductor legs.

  • Ok, thanks and this module is operated with 100 KHz switching frequency and my model is operating with 25 KHz Fsw, I need toconect two modules in paralled with the Fsw 25 KHz, so what would be the possible pin arrangements?

  • Hello Muhammad,

    If you want to run the power stage on 1/4th of the switching frequency, I doubt that the components are still the correct ones. Please take the Excel calculator and check.
