Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPSM82810
Hi all
I want to design in the TPSM828664A. Datasheet states: "Values over 150uF can degrade loop stability of the converter."
Design is 5V input, 0.8V / 3.5A Output. I would place the recommended 2x 22uF Capacitor close to the converter.
The problem is, that on same board, i need large capacitors which must be placed according to the processor manufacturer.
So, on this supply 30mm away i have one 330uF POCAP and several Ceramic capacitors spread over the board (100uF/47uF/10uF/1uF).
All together will be about 600uF which will violate the maximum value by far.
-> Is this an isue for the loop stability as the capacitors are 30mm away and only the 2x 22uF ceramics are close to the converter?
-> How can the loop stability be calculated, as there is no data in datasheet an no simulation model availlable and PowerSim is not working so far.
-> Would Feed forward Capacitor on the feedback help and how would it be calculated?
-> Do we need other technics like ripple injection or is there anything else to do for making it a robust design?
Thanks very much
