LP8733: In the case of multiple Sitara Processor (Large current)

One of the case, If using AM2434 (Sitara) ×2 and need full performance, 0.85V of VDD_CORE and VDDR_CORE need larger than 3A and LP87334D's BUCK0 have not enough to current rating (3A_max).

When above case, is one side BUCK0 substitute to common DC/DC converter no problem? (On the premise that sequence control is match)

Or, are both side BUCK0 substitute to common DC/DC converter OK, too? (LP87334D's BUCK0 is unused)

We referenced by below application note page 10, but these are one chip solution.

    Thank You for using E2E! Just to make sure we understand the concern, are you planning to have two AM2434 in your application and the concern is about the max current on BUCK0 not being enough to drive the CORE rails on both processors?

    Yes, your thinking is correct.

    I want to confirm any problem or not about drive the CORE rails use the other DC/DC, or LP87334D+other DC/DC on two AM2434.

    In this case that you need to drive two AM2434 devices LP87334D + other DC/DC might be easiest. LP87334D BUCK0 is powered anyway when device is enabled so adding another DC/DC for second AM2434 should work. How about other rails? Do they have enough power for two AM2434 ti support?

    I understood.

    Customer's current request is two points below;

    ・Two AM2434 need to suppose full performance.

    ・Current rating of Power management IC need ×2 margin.

    Together with another rail, I think that LP87334D can't match above condition.

    I will make solution on the other DC/DC's.
