LM74502-Q1: OV High Impedance Resistor Ladder

Hello,

Is it okay to select a high impedance (1Mohm and 39kOhm) as R1 and R2 in the datasheets typical application figure in order to minimize leakage current? The recommendation of "Select (R1 + R2) such that current through resistors is around 100 times higher than the leakage through OV pin" would be true in this case.

Would this high impedance have any affect on the OV response time?

Hello Praveen,

Do you have any information about a higher OV response time with the 1Mohm and 39kOhm configuration in compariosn to the 100kohm and 3k9Ohm configuration?

Hi Josef,

As long as there is no capacitance across OV pin to GND (which along with the resistance acts as an RC filter) , there should be no difference in the OV response time.
