LM5023: 12Vin isolated DC/DC

Hi,

If I want support 12Vin for DC/DC isolated power, output voltage = 4~4.6V(adjustable). Iout=30A.

For automotive application, need AEC-Q100, do you have better suggestion? LM5023 only can support lowest to 12Vin. thanks!

Hi Jeff,

Instead of a flyback topology, I would suggest going for an active clamp forward topology due to the large amount of output current needed here. Large load current will need thicker wires for protection and therefore need larger transformer size.

For active clamp forward solutions, there are UCC2897A, LM5025, LM5026. Unfortunately, these active clamp forward controllers are not automotive qualified.

For PWM controllers in the current flyback topology, UCC28C4x-Q1, UCC28C5x-Q1, or LM5021-Q1 can satisfy your need for isolation and automotive qualified.
