Hello, Team,

We have a question about TPS1HC100-Q1 when DIAG_EN is unused (open or connected to GND via R_PROT resistor.)

Datasheet p30 states that:

however, DIAG_EN being high is not necessary for all protection features to function

We think that some protection features such as a thermal shutdown can still be used.

What exactly is the protection feature which is active when DIAG_EN is unused?

Hi Masaru-san,

All protection features are active even if DIAG_EN is not used. Without DIAG_EN, there is no output to the SNS or FLT pin but items like current limit and thermal shutdown still are present in the system.
