Hello,
Is there a reason the "YF" version doesn't support simulation on webench? Usually we resort to pspice if this happens but I don't see a simulation model on the product page.

Hi Gui,
That is correct, but once you go to simulate the part within webench you get this error:
Nick
Hi Nicholas
I didn't see the error. Can that be caused by anything you set?
Thank you.
Your link is to the wrong parts and conditions, but your image is correct.
Our conditions are 9-30V to 3.3V at 2A. Which should be within datasheet limits and the original design compiles but can't simulate.
If you try to click "simulate" that's where we get the error.
Hello,
Any update on this? Can we get PSpice model for the YF version if this can't be done in webench? The customer needs this now or they will design in another IC.
Nick
Hi Carley
Currently there is no 'YF' version Pspice model for LMR51420, that's also the reason the 'simulation' function cannot work. I have reached out to our business unit to see if we can develop this, but it takes time to build the Pspice model and upload.
Do you think there are other ways to support customer's need? Can they do the verification on EVM?
Thank you.
Hi Gui,
They have an EVM and will use that for their testing but would like a simulation file long term to validate results before they go to production.
Given that there is no PSpice model for webench to use, are the passives recommendations used in webench accurate still? Or should they completely disregard the webench data?
Nick
Hi Carley
Yes customer can refer to the passives recommendations in Webench still.
Thank you
