Hi,
I have problems with Shipping mode operation using BQ25790EVM (BMS027) Evaluation Module with BatteryManagementStudio-1.3.111_Build1 and EV2300/2400 Interface Board, selected Chapter_2_01-bq25790_92.bqz target.
Please see attached picture of the EVM’s setting and the registers status loaded initially.

At turned off PS, I want by pressing S1 button (during >10sec), to enter the charger into Shipping mode and after this exit this mode (in idle state), providing voltage to the external load (25 Ohm).
But can’t get a result.
Please advise where the problem is.
Thanks,
Semion
HI Semion,
The charger can only enter shipmode when no VBUS is present. S1 button (=/QON pin) can be used to exit ship mode in this case. Alternatively, the /QON pin can be used to force a system reset, briefly turning off the shipFET in the process.
Regards,
Jeff
