LM66200: status output

Part Number: LM66200

The data sheet says that the status pin is open-drain and must be pulled up

"The ST pin is an open drain output that must be pulled up to an external voltage for proper operation."

That doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. If I ignore the ST pin, will the diode-OR thing work?

  • Hi John,

Allow me to clarify, the ST pin needs to be pulled up to an external voltage for the status pin to properly operate.

By leaving the ST pin floating, you are only loosing the ability to see the status of which output is selected; it will not affect the core functionality of the device.

    Best Regards,
