LP8764-Q1: Cold boot function implement

Hi Daniel,

Do you mean if customer want to use FSM_I2C_TRIGGERS / FSM_TRIG_SEL it will need NVM configuration first ?

Customer is using "LP876419B8RQKRQ1", this is a new NVM one what an car OEM are development with BU right now.

Can you help to confirm if use this variant, does it have any configuration can support Cold boot ?

If plan to use I2C manually turned on/off, could you guide me which register should we use ?

My customer have try to set MASK_STARTUP register to 0x0, then write 1 to SOFT_REBOOT bit of SOFT_REBOOT _REG

However, The PMIC doesn’t reboot.

Is there anything wrong here?

Should I set SOFT_REBOOT_MASK bit 5 to 1 ?

Could you check the behavior how to cold reboot PMIC?

Does the pmic shutdown and then not restart or does the pmic not do anything when SOFT_REBOOT is written?

Also is the PMIC in active when the SOFT_REBOOT bit is written?

Hi Daniel,

Set MASK_STARTUP register to 0x0, then Write 1 to SOFT_REBOOT bit of SOFT_REBOOT _REG.

However, The PMIC doesn’t shutdown. Just like doesn't happen anything.

I do not see any issues using soft reboot functionality from my side. Please read interrupts before and after writing soft reboot.
