multiple reading throughout of this paper it seems to me that there is a parameter and value missing from the document.
9.3.9.5.3 System Overcurrent Protection When the system is shorted or significantly overloaded (IBAT > IBATOP) and the current exceeds BATFET overcurrent limit, the BATFET latched off. The BATFET latch can be reset with VBUS plug-in.
So, the highlighted parameter IBATOP is never referenced with the appropriate value in this datasheet. Also, a good side information would be if there is some kind of blanking time for the detection of the IBATOP while there is a transient on the load side of the IC.
