Dear TI team,

I am using IC UCC5390ECDWVR for gate driver circuit design. I am trying to simulate this circuit in TINA but I am getting errors and not able to resolve it.

Kindly suggest if anything is missing.

I have attached TINA design file.

Hi Shritesh,

Try shorting together GND1 & GND2, and then adding a 1pF load to the output. That made my simulation converge (see attached).

I just started in this product line, and I will try to get involved with the modeling work and make sure these issues won't appear when using the model in TINA-TI. Thank you for your patience in the meantime.

Thanks a lot Sean for the help. With the suggested changes, TINA model is working fine.

But, I have doubt that regarding shorting of GND1 and GND2. In practical gate driver circuit, GND1 will connected to microcontroller ground and GND2 will be connected to Source pin of MOSFET where it will not be feasible to short GND1 and GND2 pins. So, I believe that GND1 and GND2 are shorted only in TINA for current loop and simulation convergence.

Please let me know if my understanding is correct.

Yes, this is a trick to make the model work only. You should of course isolate them in your design!
