Hi there,
Regarding the LM2936QM-5.0/NOPB, may I ask why the colors of the holes in the same tube in the same box of a batch are different, some of which are bright and some are dark, is this normal?

Hey Wong Sam,
Apologies for the delay, parts sold through the TI website are verified by us before being sold.
Because these parts are from two different lots, that can explain the variation in luster of the part [22EF v 236E].
However I cannot claim whether something is counterfeit or not, I would have to defer to our counterfeit team support center (the risk is that the information I post on here may help people make counterfeits of this device).
Please follow the following instructions:
Completed Counterfeit Request Form.
High quality pictures of the bottom & top of the device(s)
High quality pictures of the 2D bar code labels.
Copies/pictures of shipping documents, i.e. packing slip showing the origin of the devices to TI. (If this information cannot be provided we are unable to provide verification due to uncertainties regarding chain of custody of the products.)
Provide device application.
Also note:
Semiconductor products purchased outside of TI’s authorized distribution network, including through brokers, independent distributors, or online marketplaces (sometimes referred to as the “gray market”), may be counterfeit, modified, beyond TI’s recommended shelf life, or improperly stored or handled. Accordingly, TI does not provide warranty coverage or customer support for semiconductor products purchased outside of TI’s authorized distribution network.
Best,
Juliette
Hey Sam,
The marking on the bottom is an optional marking for manufacturers. However, if you would like more confirmation - you should contact the counterfeit team as stated before.
However, I can say that, because you bought parts from the TI website, they are authentic parts.
Best,
Juliette
Hey Sam,
I'm sorry! I thought the org was hyperlinked in the previous message.
