TPS61372: 3.3V -> 5V/2A and 12V/0.5A solution

Hello expert,

May we have your help to provide suitable solution to support 3.3V -> 5V/2A and 12V/0.5A condition? also my customer needs true shutdown function when IC is not powered. May we know if TPS61372 could support it? It seems like current limit has no margin for 5V/2A application. Thanks a lot!

    Hi Ann,

    TPS61372 can support 12V0.5A but not enough current for 5V 2A.

    May I ask whether you need one solution for the two conditions or one for each? 

    If you need one for two, you can use TPS61376 or TPS1378, their current limits are about 4.5A and get enough margin.

    If you need one for each, you can use TPS61372for 12V/0.5A and TPS61022 for 5V2A(or TPS61033 has not RTM).
