UCD3138ACCEVM149: SLUC602-LLC Half bridge Firmware

Part Number: UCD3138ACCEVM149
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138ALLCEVM150, UCD3138A, UCD3138

Hello,

I have found a problem regarding the control circuit firmware of my system. The system is composed by the control circuit UCD3138ACCEVM149 and the LLC circuit UCD3138ALLCEVM150.

I have found some firmware differences between a UCD3138ACCEVM149 configured by default and a another one with the firmware loaded by me (but without modifications) downloaded from TI website. I am using the firmware SLUC602-LLC Half bridge Firmware with UCD3138A configuration. I think that it should be the same firmware that have the UCD3138ACCEVM149 when we buy it.

I have been doing some test with both circuits. The first one with the original firmware (from now on I will call it FWoriginal) and the second one with the firmware loaded by me (from now on I will call it FWdownloaded).

Using Fusion Studio, I have seen that with the FWoriginal the frequency is 150 KHz. However, with the FWdownloaded the frequency is 250 KHz. Also, I have seen some differences in the measurements of Temperature Internal and Temperature External. See attached pictures.

Also, I have seen differences in the device identification using the software UCD3XXX Device GUI. With FWoriginal the DEVICE_ID is UCD3138|0.0.72.0012|140225. However, with FWdownloaded is UCD3100ISO1|0.0.11.0106|141031. See attached pictures.

I don’t understand why I see these differences. For this reason, I want to request how can I solve this issue.

Thank you.

  • As you can probably tell, the code you downloaded is a later version.  Both versions probably work fine, but the newer version is the one that we support, and it should have improvements from the version that came on the board.  Please use the newer version as that is the one we are set up to support now.
