Hi Kocela,
First you will lose the over voltage protection of your battery. If the Bat-OVP function is not required, the VBAT pin should be connected to VSS.

because some reason the client want to know what potential problem cause with floating Vbat pin.

Hi Kocela,
The datasheet recommends connecting the Vbat to Vss as follows:
If the Bat-OVP function is not required, the VBAT pin should be connected to VSS. (From datasheet page 13).
Leaving VBAT floating will not predict the behavior of that pin and can cause the over voltage protection to start any time and you will not have any control over it.
We do not recommend our customers to go above the recommendations of the datasheet and TI is not responsible for any application that does not follow the datasheet requirements.
