Hi team,
Customer get one question about TPS82084SILR, they wander if TPS82084SILR could constant work under 85℃ for 3 years. Could you help comments on this?
Thanks and Best Regards,

Hi Will,
The TPS82084 has a max junction temperature limit of 125C. The max ambient temperature, the device can be used at depends on the RθJA (Junction-to-ambient thermal resistance) of the customer board. If you look at figures 14 and 15 of the datasheet, you can see that 2A can be supported to about 100C ambient using the TPS82084 EVM (RθJA=46.6°C/W).
Section 10.3 of the datasheet describes more regarding the thermal derating.
Best regards,
Varun
