You can change the TPS7H500X-SP family from current mode control to voltage mode control by using the slope compensation to create the voltage ramp for the controller.
A ramp that has an amplitude of 1 V during the switching period of the controller is required to be made.
With the following equation you are able to use the frequency of the controller to find the maximum resistance for the RSC resistor to create voltage mode control:
Where:
FSW is frequency of the converter in MHz
RSC is the resistance of the RSC pin resistor in kOhms
It is suggested to have a small (~0.1 V) voltage on the CS_ILIM pin to protect against any missed cycles.
