LM5157EVM-BST: EVM minimum input voltage

Hi team,

I think LM5157 minimum input voltage is 2.9V.

However, the minimum input voltage of the EVM (LM5157EVM-BST) is 3.0V.

Why the minimum input voltage is limited to 3.0V in the EVM?

Does the EVM accept 2.9V input?

Hi Itoh,

Yes, the device will work down to 2.9V and also the EVM should work with 2.9V.

I assume that the 3.0V are considering the tolerances of the LM5157 UVLO level and the resistor divider.

Does the EVM support 12.5V to 24V/2A conversion with modification?

Do you mind if I ask you how to modify the EVM for the above requirement?

yes, this should work.

With a brief check using the quickstart calculator it would be enough to update the UVLO and FB resistor, see below:
