TPS65400EVM-678: EVM is not detected in Device Menu of PI-Commander

Dear TI team, I am trying to connect EVM with PI-Commander via USB2ANY but it is not getting connected. I have tried several ways mentioned in other threads. USB2ANY is detected but not EVM. I have checked SCL and SDA signals (pins 19 & 20) from 30 pin connector as well. SCL pulses are coming while clicking on Rescan Slaves but SDA is always low (zero). I have checked the connector from both sides and in both directions to confirm the signals as it is not mentioned which side should be connected to USB2ANY. Moreover, there are only 26 pins in USB2ANY but it has 30 pin connector. As I tried to check USB2ANY pins directly but there was no PIN configuration available in the document to check the signals.

Please help with the above mentioned issue.

Hi Ashish,

1. There are only 26 pins in USB2ANY but it has 30 pin connector. That is no problem since pin 9/10/21/22 are not used.

2. As Zixu said, the engineer is on spring festival holiday. I check the previous posts for your reference.

Please make sure test point A and B are jumpered correctly.

3. Make sure the software version is correct.

4. There is a note on the EVM user's guide page 9. It shows other browsers except Internet Explorer may not work correctly.

Hi, Nancy,

I have another USB2ANY part from another Eval board. I have used it and it is able to connect with the Eval board and I am able to do all other configuration changes in the converter. So I think there is an issue with the recent USB2ANY kit.

Replies for the above-mentioned points.

1. Yes I understood it.

2. I do not understand about test points A and B jumpered correctly or not. In the Eval board user's guide test points are named as TP1, TP2, etc.

3. Yes the software version is correct. I have checked it twice after reading it in other threads.

4. Internet explorer is relevant only for downloading the software which is successfully installed.
