TPS61288: Vout exisiting when EN=LOW

Part Number: TPS61288

Hi team,

Customer notice Vout is +3.65V with Vin=+4V, EN pin=LOW. I think output is 0V because TPS61288 is Synchronous Rectification. Is it a correct behavior?

Hayashi

  • Hi Hayashi,

Thank you for using E2E forums, regarding your query when the EN pin is low that means the device is disabled and it is in shutdown mode the MOSFET will be turned off and the there will be the rectifying diode between VIN and VOUT so there will be a voltage drop on VIN and that is what will be seen at the Vout. output will not be 0V, but it will be VIN - Vfw (of the MOSFET rectifying diode).

    Hope that answers your question.

    Haroon
