BQ24315: Request for thermal data

Hi, we are using the part BQ24315DSGR in one of our design, for performing thermal analysis we are looking for data like Rjb, Rjc. From the datasheet we could able to get only Rjc & Tj max which is not sufficient for thermal analysis.

So, anyone knows where i can get this Rjb value? or is there any other method to perform thermal analysis without considering Rjb value?

Hello Anand,

Unfortunately, it does not seem we have the junction-to-board constant (Rjb) for this one in particular. You can still use the values in the datasheet. The datasheet has the R_θJA, R_θJC and T_j(max) values. The following application note may be useful to use these to perform thermal analysis: Semiconductor and IC Package Thermal Metrics.

There also seems to be newer versions of this device, the BQ24314C. Which does list all of the thermal information data that you were expecting.
