Hi team,
In UNITRODE's datasheet, the Junction temperature was 150°C.
Now it is 105°C in TI's datasheet.
Isn't that a misprint?
I believe that is a low absolute maximum rating for a power supply IC.
Sincerely.
Kengo.

Hi Kengo-san,
The absolute maximum storage temperature is 150°C. The recommended maximum operating temperature is 105°C. Operating at a higher temperature will likely impact the accuracy of the sharing. For new designs, we recommend the UCC29002 as this the newer and more accurate version.
I hope this helps to clarify.
Hi John-san,
I'd like to know the additional question.
If the junction temperature exceeds 105°C, please let me know how it will affect the UC2902.
My customers have been using them since the UNITRODE and they are designed at 150°C.
Sincerely.
Kengo.
Hi Kengo-san,
The datasheet limits are guaranteed up to 105°C so if the IC is above that, the IC can operate outside the defined limits. One key spec that might be compromised could be the overall accuracy of the sharing control.
I hope this answers your question.
