BQ76930: BQ76930 abnormal current sampling

The customer design with BQ76930.

When the battery pack is fully charged (100%), repeatedly plug in and out the adapter for charging and discharge. The battery is repeated low current charging and discharge about more than 1000 times.

At this time, the AFE sampling current will be stuck at a low current discharge value. After the AFE is reset, the current can be collected normally.

What causes this problem? Is there any other solution besides resetting?

Hi Star,

Another thing to look at is the coulomb counter settings. Do they have the CC_EN bit set or are they using the CC_ONESHOT mode?

Before they reset, can they measure the voltages at the device pins to see if anything is not powered correctly (CAP1, REGOUT, CAP2, BAT, VC5X, REGSRC)?
