TPS386000: Maximal current via output RESET pin

Part Number: TPS386000

Dear TI,

according to datasheet of TPS386000, the maximal current via output RESET pin is 5 mA.

Except of pull-up resistor at RESET line, I have a small capacitor (several nF) connected between RESET and ground. From measurement of RESET voltage falling edge (when RESET output asserts) I calculated that the capacitor discharge current into RESET pin was about 17 mA. It takes roughly only 1 us.

Is exceeding of maximal pin current possible for such a short time (discharge of capacitor) or should it be never exceeded?

Thank you.
