LM3429: Efficiency and LED output current

Hi Experts,

Our customer has a concern about LM3429, he needs to know the efficiency and LED output current of this IC for Vin=8 to 36V and Vo=9.2V ILED=0.7A.

He also mentioned that there is no efficiency for Vo=8 to 10V with ILED value. If this information is available from your side please share if ok. Thank you.

May I know the application here and why customer choose LM3429 since this is not a popular device among illumination products?

Hi Mason,

The customer is planning to use this LM3429 as a buck-boost LED driver for his LED board since it satisfies the input voltage range and output voltage.

Feel free to suggest any other Buck-boost LED driver IC for Vin=8 to 36V Vo=9.2V (VLED) ILED=0.7A.

actually we do have a new device fitting for the requirement, which is still in internal test and validation. Do you have any information on the required efficiency?

Our customer needs a buck-boost converter with an efficiency greater than 85% for input and output requirements.
