BQ24250: Safety timer 2X period

Hi team,

I've understood the default value of safety timer is not 6h but 9h by original E2E post.(Datasheet still has the typo)

My customer has one question. Which period of charging is affected from 2XTMR_EN?

Datasheet P29 "9.3.12 Safety Timer" section says "Pre-Charge or libnear mode(minimum system voltage mode" so, it means orange box in below image.

But, Datasheet P38 register map foot note says "if a condition occurs where the charging current is reduced" so, it means green box in below image.

Actual test result from customer is fit with green box.

HI Atsushi,

The footnote "if a condition occurs where the charging current is reduced" is referring to VINDPM, IINDPM, TREG, TCOOL during CC and CV and precharge. I was not aware that it also applied to trickle charge but am not surprised.

In normal charging case without any problem like VINDPM or so, which period is affected from 2XTMR_EN? I want you to answer by green or orange.
