BQ25601D: Termination Current Issue

Hi Expert,

My customer is using BQ25601D in their project. They are testing termination current and found the actual current is larger than the threshold. The details are shown below:

5℃	55mA	4.41V	845mA	152mA	120mA
15℃	53mA	4.41V	1840mA	147mA	120mA
25℃	56mA	4.41V	1840mA	135mA	120mA

I checked the DS of BQ25601D, the measured current accuracy is slightly lower than the spec. Is that normal? Or should we judge by the worst accuracy regardless of the charging current?

1.Was the Iterm setting set to 120mA for the 3 tests?

2. How was the termination current measured? By gauge or multi-meter or something else?

Thanks for your reply! Actually I just want to make sure if this error is within the normal range? If not, I will ask my customer to check their testing environment.

1. Yes, the Iterm is set to 120mA
2. The current is measured by both gauge and multi-meter, so the current should be correct.

There's no spec for Iterm setting=120mA.

What's their step by step test procedure to measure the termination current? Did they monitor the battery current around termination on the scope?
