TPS7B85-Q1: Looking for >100mA, Small Package, Low Iq, with PG LDO

Part Number: TPS7B85-Q1

Hello team,

I am looking for the below LDO.

1. >100mA

2. Small Package

3. Low Iq during EN=High (system needs 5V even in system sleep mode)

4. with PG

Most suitable part is TPS7B85-Q1?

If so, and If SI and SO is not used in the sytem, how to terminate these pins?

    I will assign this to one of our marketing engineers that can give you the information on our portfolio and the best device for your application.

    As for your question about SI and SO pins. These pins are disconnected from the function of the devices in/out power rail, this means that by not using them you will not affect the function of the device. This means that you could leave them floating, or as we recommend for our NC pins, tying the pins to GND will cause the thermal performance of the device to improve. However the drawback would be the possibility for slightly increased Iq during operation as the internal pullup would be pushing current to GND to force SO to go low.

    I think TPS7B85-Q1 is the best-suited device for the application you describe. It has:

    • 150mA output current
    • Total package area = 9mm2
    • 18 uA typical quiescent current with enable=high
      • Please see the datasheet for additional quiescent current conditions
    • PG functionality
