TPS61500: Unique LED driver Vf:3V Imax:3A

Hi,

I'm looking for an efficient solution (>90%) to drive a unique led(Vf:3V Imax:3A) from 8V to 16V input with a PWM dimming input.

I've found the TPS61500 , is it suitable for my application ?

Is there a solution with a smaller component ?

Hi,

TPS61500 is not a good choice for your spec requirement, I'll recommend LM3409 instead.

Thanks for the tips. Do you know if there is a spreadsheet for this component , I don't want to read all the formula .

This is my first led driver and I'm not a really aware with spice. Do you have a reference for the mosfet too ?

Hi,

Sorry we don't have spreadsheet except for datasheet. And LM3409 has integrated mosfet.
