Hi Dear Expert,

I would like system load control with an external switch. Can I control it with a power mosfet like in the image? Or is there a cost effective solution batdrv pin control ?

Hi Ahmet,

That will work but the Q3 FET only turns on when there is no adapter. This means that your system voltage will be V(BAT) - VdiodeQ3 when adapter is applied and V(BAT) when there is no adapter.

I know the Q3 mosfet will switch off if there is an adapter. It's already necessary for my design. In that case I have to drive external switch power mosfet for system on/off.
