BQ24610: BQ24610 VCC and PH

Part Number: BQ24610

Hi

I have a query need your help.

The recommended operating conditions show that the voltage range of VCC is -0.3V to 28V, the PH pin is - 2V to 30V.

During application, when the VCC is 20V, what is the maximum and minimum voltage of the PH pin?

What is relationship with VCC and PH?

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks

Star

  • Hi Star,

PH is the mid point between the buck switching FETs.  When the high side FET is on, PH settles to VCC.  When the high side FET is off, PH settles to BATREG.  During the transition when the switches are turning on/off, there can be ringing higher than VBUS hence the reason for PH needing to be a bit higher rated than VCC.
