UCC12041-Q1: Required for a customized component

Part Number: UCC12041-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC12051-Q1,

Hi
This is Pranay.
I need an isolated DC-DC converter IC or DC supply with isolation.
We have finalized UCC12041-Q1 and UCC12051-Q1.
These two ICs will provide isolated DC-DC power supply with 1:1 isolation transformer.
Is there any IC with same performance and turns ratio as 1:2 or
any option to customize this IC's turns ration to 1:2.

  • Hi Pranay,

This isolated bias supply product line is expanding (rapidly).  I will check with the team and get back to you.

Please provide more details about specifications; Vin, Vout, Iout, isolation requirement.

    Regards,

    Eric

  • Pranay,

If you are considering UCC12041/51 then I assume 5V-to-5V. If you are interested in a version with 1:2 transformer ratio, then I assume 5V-to-10V? TI has integrated transformer devices sampling that can convert 12V-to-24V (1:2) and can operate down to VIN=10 V at full rated power (1.5 W) or VIN=8 V at de-rated power but are constrained to 18V<VOUT<25V. If your input voltage is limited to 5-V only, you could use a non-isolated boost pre-regulator to convert 5 V to 12 V or 24 V which would allow the use of an integrated transformer solution. Otherwise you can consider a transformer driver that uses a small external transformer used in either an open loop push-pull or LCC configuration.
