TPS50601A-SP: Turn-on Delay Time?

Part Number: TPS50601A-SP

Hello,

When the input voltage exceeds the power up threshold and the device starts operating, is there a turn-on delay from the application of input voltage until the output reaches its final value, aside from the slow-start time that is configured using the slow-start capacitor (Css)?

Thank you,

 Fernando

  • Hi Fernando,

The EVM User's Guide is available on the product folder website at the following link:

    https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slvub65

Figures 7 and 8 show the start up delay when PVIN is brought high and when PVIN is already high.  There appears to be an additional 200us delay in the starting of switching when EN is derived from PVIN through ULVO divider compared to PVIN already high and EN pulled high.

    Thanks

    Christian
