TPS659128: FW and EVM

Hi,

I have 2 quesitons for TPS659128.

1. Does it have EVM and EVM reference design can reference?

2. Does TI can support default FW setting before shpping? I've check "8.3.1.4 LDO Enable", it said "Each LDO regulator can be factory programmed such that it is powered up automatically in one of the 15 time slots after a power-on condition occurs or is controlled by a dedicated pin".

Does it will have extract cost? Is it need 3rd party help for this? Or we just need provide register setting/timing sequence to TI?

One more question, waht is the different between the TPS6591287 & TPS6591286?

I can't find the detail in datasheet. Thanks!

Hi Phil,

thanks for the OTP information.

So if my customer needs customize OTP setting, need pay extra feed?

Or just provide OTP setting as excel file, then TI will provide customize part number to them for order?

Hi Phil,

BTW, my customer have indenpent MCU can using I2C config TPS659128 DCDC output,

So they wants all DCDC and LDO have no any default output voltage.

Hi Jeff,

If your customer meet the "New OTP kickoff requires $2.5M LNR in revenue. With $1.74 AUP, it will be minimum ~1.4Mu required in lifetime." I think there is no need to pay extra fee. Please contact your local TI sales for more details.

Yes, MCU can using I2C commands to re-config TPS659128 DCDC output after it's power up; but all rails of the device will be output their voltage level set by OTP when it's power up.

I would like to check TPS659128 power up behavior. Is it generate default OTP power setting voltage once provide Vin?

Is it possible using I2C set output voltage before TPS659128 generate defualt on power?

Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately, it's not possible using I2C set output voltage before TPS659128 generate default on power.

The device always output default OTP power setting voltage once provide Vin.
